I'd like to dedicate these songs in my personal playlist to those who have affected my life, and in these songs show some of their own struggles in their life as well. I hope you enjoy as I have compiled these songs for you to listen to.

When I left the army, and found pleasure in roaming around the nation, this song truly reflects my thoughts about traveling. "Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there" are lyrics that represent my attitude back then. The acoustic riff creates a very relaxed tone, yet shifts back and forth to major and minor chords. It's rather pensive, but the lyrics follow with the riff, explaining the theme of uncertainty in the song. It was my choice to wander around for awhile, but it was out of not knowing where to go or be for my future.

This song involves the time I had decided to pack my bags and leave to Salinas Valley. Along with that, my younger brother, Charles would most likely have this feeling towards me as the song shows. The quick-pace tempo reveals the heat of the moment as I had met Cathy, and grew tired of Connecticut. The tone is heard as a bit positive, yet this juxtaposes the lyrics and feelings within the song, and my brother.

Honestly, i can relate to this song in a heartbeat. This song is dedicated to Cathy, back when I fell in love her. The song tells the story how the girl that he fell in love with, had made an impact on his life, following the events that happens in the song. It helps explain the way I felt about Cathy, even though I didn't meet her in El Paso. In the middle of the song there is a full verse that goes: "Back in El Paso my life would worthless/Everything's gone in life; nothing is left/It's been so long since I've seen the young maiden/My love is stronger than my fear of death." I have felt the same way, and know I am stronger now.

This is for my son, Aron. The imagery in the song is relative to the hardships that has been made in my lifetime, and in the beginning of his. The singer speaks as an advisor to the problems in everyone's lives. The message is to not make a big deal of the situations given in our lives. Aron wants to please everybody and to overcome his sin, though to discover ourselves it is an obstacle we must face. The chorus discusses the decision and advice to continue to live on.

Aron became quite reserved after attending college, yet a shell was created as a way to save and shelter the remains of the love he had received before he left. The organs blaster loudly to alarm the reality of the situation. "My mind holds a key" is related to the thoughts inside Aron's head. The vocals become desperate towards the end as a final cry for freedom within, and the spirit of someone who was once happy, and knowing.

If there was a song for Cathy's death it would be this one because of the theme shown. The minor chords show a melancholy tone which relates to Cathy's final moments. Though she is the depiction of evil, the lyrics reveal something true to what she may have felt throughout her doing. The song talks about finding something she should've found long ago, which explains the mystery in her choices that involved her running away.

I were to have known about my son, Cal's feeling towards Aron's untimely death in WW1 I believe he would have felt the same way as the song shows. It deals with making the wrong decision, and heading towards the wrong direction. The harmony in the vocals has a relaxing tone, and matched with the piano melody. The vocal range begins soft and low repeating that what Aron thought he was escaping, turned out to be more than what he was expecting: war. The vocals and harmony burst out into a chant in the end saying "My brother had it coming", and shows how Cal feels sorry for Aron in the end.

I wanted to dedicate this song to ,Cal. Reason being he doesn't know much about me because of the fact I've never quite payed attention to him. But the lyrics in this song such as "You don't need to explain, if everything's changed just know I'm just like you" is the message I'd give to him saying that as a human being the way we change is perfectly normal. The song is carefree, and the mid to fast tempo symbolizes the freedom Cal has in hand for him. The choice is his to make for his future.

For my final days, I would like to have this song played near my deathbed. The single guitar riff slides to the power chord with such ease, as I would like to have my death be. The singer talks about the "pretty lies" he has heard in his sleep, just the same as I heard in mine about the past and how the choices have led to this road. My sense of trust had been jeopardized as the singer in this song has been, too. Towards the end of the song, the lyrics fade into a new riff and solo in the background as the the drums grow a higher tempo. It shows how in the end, there is a final fight for the choices that have been, and that somewhere a final choice can be made before it is too late.
